Denver, Colorado –
IMPORTANT NEW INITIATIVE LAUNCHES
TO STRENGTHEN CANNABIS NONPROFIT SECTOR IN COLORADO
Nuvolution opens first cannabis community center in Denver!
A Colorado-based 501c3 nonprofit, Nuvolution, is launching the nation’s first cannabis community center. Nuvolution received a grant for approximately 2200 square feet of warehouse space in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. The Nuvolution Community Center is a non-consumption space for cannabis-friendly* nonprofits and social enterprises to provide classes, workshops, and networking events. The focus is on community facing education spotlighting the many ways cannabis may integrate with wellness.
There is immense potential for all in having a healthier, more productive community. Proper education addresses the core component of effective change by providing the means and encouragement to understand how cannabis may affect one personally and professionally. Nuvolution’s aim is to support balance among the many aspects of wellness including emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, diversity, occupational, personal development, physical, social, and spiritual.
Event space can be prohibitively expensive for many social enterprises causing them to delay or eliminate programming. Nuvolution’s Executive Director, Anne Marie Doyle, says “We want to help remove obstacles cannabis-friendly nonprofits and social enterprises have in achieving their missions. Affordable event space is one of the ways we are able to do this.” The space will be open to adults 21+ staying in compliance with Colorado’s cannabis marketing regulations. Nuvolution’s Community Center gives organizations an opportunity to showcase their place in cannabis history, with museum styled décor, while supporting social responsibility within their communities.
